NEW WEB PRESENCE FOR A WORLD LEADER IN WOOD PRODUCTS

Real Fusion has completed a website transformation for Norbord, a global leader in the manufacture of engineered wood based panel products.

The company has opted for a much simpler, cleaner design utilising bold imagery which makes a dramatic visual statement.

But the new site is about improved functionality, giving users quicker and easier access to the wealth of information and advice Norbord offers.

It is not just about an improved user experience either. The Real Fusion web team has also developed a brand new management system which will enable the Norbord marketing team to update and change content on the site with ease.

Real Fusion Web designer/developer John Lewis said the new site perfectly reflected Norbord’s reputation for quality products and advice in a global marketplace.

“The new site is much easier to navigate with sections that are far more clearly defined. Add to this a greatly enhanced content management system and you have a site that perfectly combines functionality with form,” said John.

“It has been a great project to be involved with on behalf of a client with whom we have established an excellent working relationship. Norbord really are at the cutting edge of their sector and we believe this new site reflects that sense of prestige associated with the brand.”

The new site features clear links to a number of sections, including case studies and its comprehensive document library, featuring a wide range of information, including technical literature, installation guides and product brochures.

Product categories are also clearly defined and there is a link to training videos, as well as company news and a directory of product stockists.

With its headquarters in Toronto, Canada and a workforce of 2,000 people Norbord’s products are used widely in the construction industry, as well as the DIY and furniture industries. For more than 40 years it has been supplying its products to Europe, where 900 if its employees are based.
